Hey Sufian,

* How many hours I should spend study on the exam?

You should concentrate on for atleast 5 hours a day.Try preparing some notes for yourself when you read-on.Once you finish reading a chapter..read the summary/bullet points at the end of the chapter.read your notes and answer the mock questions.once you are done with the exam, review your answers.

* Should I study another book or tutorial other than HFSJ ?

In order to pass the exam, I think and believe that HFSJ is THE BEST.

* How he studied from HFSJ?

I assume this question is how to prepare for the exam.

* How many times he studied the book?

You can stop reading when you feel you are confident.

Hope this information helps.

Hey Sufian,
I cannot guarantee an 85%+ but HFSJ is a good book to achieve it. It depends on how you prepare and how you answer the questions. There are many people in this forum who got much better scores just by preparing from HFSJ and answering the only one mock exam from it.I believe and wish you could be joining the list of those people very soon.Good Luck all the way!

Hai Sufian,
I request you to go ahead and start the preparation with HFSJ. At the end, you will come to know what if at all you are missing something.. Keeping in regular touch with forum like this also helps you to know more than what books have..All the best for your preparation.

HFSJ is an excellent book, and all the questions on the test will be covered somewhere in the book. Keep in mind that the authors codeveloped the actual exam... so they knew what was going to be covered!

However, HFSJ does not cover everything there is to know reagrding servlets and JSps. No book could possibly do that - the subject matter is simply too broad. So you will occasionally hear people (especially in this forum) say things like "Oh no! <c:forTokens> and <c:redirect> weren't covered in HFSJ!" But don't worry, because they simply aren't on the exam. Check out Bert Bates' helpful answers to similar questions.

That being said, I would still recommend reading through the specs at least once...
