Hi,

Pls clarify the following...

IF the application in web.xml is not distributable

1. container should create only a single instance per declaration per JVM.
2. If the servlet implements SingleThreadModel the container may create multiple instance per declaration per JVM

If the application in web.xml is distributable

3. container may create only a single instance per declaration per JVM.( this means that the container may create mutiple instance per JVM)

4. If the servlet implements SingleThreadModel the container may create mutliple instance per declaration per JVM.

The only difference which i found is between the statement 1 and 3, where for statement 1 it is a must but for statement 3 it is optional.

For statement 2 and 4 , there is no difference even if the application is distributable or not.

Can anyone let me know whether my understanding is correct.
