Hi,

I scored 72% in the Javaranch mock exam. I am in the process of reading HFSJ , have read first 9 chapters. Have read 80% of the Servlet specs once and have 1.5 years of J2EE exp. Please let me know if this score is ok wrt the real exam. Is the Javaranch mock exam easier or similar to the real exam. Does Javaranch has only one mock exam or do they have more. I solved this one http://www.javaranch.com/carl/scwcd/scwcd_mock_logo.jsp

Your replies will give me a direction to study hard so thanks for the same.

Regards,
Radhika

The JavaRanch mock exam is a great learning tool, but I think it's easier than the real exam and isn't a good measure of how ready you are.

The HFSJ mock exam is a much better indicator. You shouldn't take it until you've thoroughly studied HFSJ and you think you are ready for the real exam. In my opinion, if you score 75% or better you are ready to sit for the exam.

If you don't get 75% or better, resume studying. Don't return to the mock exam (and don't study the questions) until you are sure you are ready. If you take the mock exam too many times, you'll start to memorize the answers.

Hi Sachin,
Can you tell what score should one get in the Brain bench JSP 2.1 test mentioned by you inorder to analyse if one is ready for the exam or not.

Please also note that the JavaRanch mock exam covers version 1.3 of the SCWCD. Topics new to 1.4 are not included.
