Hi,

Is the <c:import> url action also supposed to treat the URL rewriting?
or its work just for "<c:url>" ??

Tks.

Hello Felipe,

For internal resources, the <c:import> tag uses a RequestDispatcher to read the data from the resource. Therefore, the session information is automatically included in the REQUEST object. For external resources, it is not appropriate to perform URL-rewriting.

So, yes, the <c:url> tag is the only URL-related tag that performs URL-rewriting.

Make sense?

Cheers,
Bryan

Hi Bryan,

right, i guess it does.

I also saw that at JSTL spec.

Ah, btw, <c:url> + <c aram> = URL rewriting and URL enconding.

Tks
