hi ,
According to servlet spec
"SRV1.9.9 (Error Handling)

SRV1.9.9.1 (Request Attributes)
-If the location of the error handler is a Servlet or a JSP page :

a) The original unwrapped request and response objects created by the container are passed to the servlet
b) The response setStatus method is disabled and ignored if called.
c) The request path and attributes are as set as if a RequestDispatcher .forward to the error resource had been happened.
"

I tried to test if the request Attributes as mentioned in the specs are set or not i wrote a test code as

the output got is Status Code:Null message:null

So i guess the error hanlder location must be different from the source of error ..

Please throw some on this

regards

Try to check this out in an error page.I think the spec implies that the attributes will be available in the error handling resource.

I am not sure that they will be available to the error generating resource as they are generated later.

Please correct me if I am wrong
cheers
