Hi Ranchers,
I have cleared my SCJP 1.2 in july,2000. Am i eligible for taking the SCWCD exam now.Please guide me.

Hi,

I certified in SCJP in October 2000 so even I had a similar doubt. I wrote to Sun and got a response that I am eligible for SCWCD. But it would be nice if this can be confirmed again.

I believe, you can write to sun too to confirm that.

Hi Naveen,

Sun certifications have life time validity. Once a SCJP , always a SCJP.

And for SCWCD you need to be an SCJP , no versions are specified.

Hence you can go ahead and take SCWCD exam ..
