Hi there,

It would be interesting to hear your comments on the following things. Primarily my question is intended for those one of you who have already taken the exam successfully.

How big difference (percentage) there were in your scores when you first took your Mock Exam on "JavaRanch"-web site and when you took the real exam? If by any chance, you do still remember your M E score.

Can Mock Exam, the one on JavaRanch web site, be compared in tougness to the real exam?

Hi JRockie,
The mock exam at Javaranch is easier than the real thing but it is good for practise. If one aims to get a score of 90% and above in the real exam than he/she should get above 95% on the Java Ranch exam.

Regards,
Saurabh

Hi,

I think it depends on the mock exam that you take. If the mock exam you take is the one from the javaranch, then I think it's much simpler than the real exam. However, the jdiscuss exam is somewhat similar with the real exam with respect the to the tone, the heaviness and the coverage of it. Maybe you should try that one. http://www.jdiscuss.com/

Good luck!

My opinion on the Javaranch exam : pretty easy .
I went through it in 6-7 minutes just pushing next without reviewing and got 72 %.
I am preparing for the real thing only at chapter 9 in HSJ (second time) and it would be too easy it the questions were like this.

It's kind of like Rules Roundup if you have used them for SCJP.

I will also try the other mock exams before showing up for the real exam but on javaranch I would guess you need 90% before showing up in the real exam.

Thanx for your replies. I guess I will still have to study hard
before taking the real thing.
