Hi Folks

Just finished writing my exam. Thanks to writers of HFSJ for such a great book. Thanks to all the ranchers for the source of such unlimited knowledge.

I had hoped for something over 90 and hence a bit disappointed.
Anyways.........there's always next time.

I would like to share some of my learnings.
Most of the questions are straight forward, though drag and drop can be a pain.

I thought my Achilles would be the Patterns but I scored 100% there.
I referred SCWCD kit of Hanumanth for that.

I lost marks on JSP standard actions,Tags and Web Application Deployment.
I would suggest knowing thoroughly mandatory and optional attributes for all the actions and jstl tags.

I did read specs but not from cover to cover. And target practice comes very handy folks. The sooner you start with mocks the better.

So now I would be putting up my feet and relaxing.

Cheers to all
Deepika

Congratulation Deepika...

Does it cover all patterns of SCWCD objective?

Thanks...

Hi Vivek,

I used the book for the previous version of the exam.Service Locator pattern was not covered in that.
But together with HFSJ i found to be sufficient.
There are some good questions on patterns on j2eecertificate too which i tried.

Hope this helps.
Cheers

Great job, Deepika!

I completely agree that Manning's SCWCD Exam Study Kit is the best resource for studying the SCWCD-covered patterns. I used the diagrams in the book for years after my certification.

Feel welcome to add yourself to the SCWCD Wall of Fame or Private Message me and I can do it for you.
