Hey,

You have to book the exam center from pometric and as per my knowledge it is applicable. You can use the coupon to write the exam here also.

Hi,
I think, the vouchers are country specific. Have a look at the URL http://www.sun.com/training/catalog/courses/CX-310-081.xml. It says Exams purchased on this Web site may only be used in the US. If you reside outside the US, please select a country to inquire about products delivered in your country. Once exam vouchers are purchased you have up to one year from the date of purchase to use it. Each voucher is valid for one exam and may only be used at an Authorized Prometric Testing Center in the country for which it was purchased. Please be aware that exam vouchers are nonrefundable for any reason.

It clearly says, each voucher is valid for only one exam and can be used at an Authorized Prometric Testing Center in the country for which it was purchased. For your sake, it would be better if you call up any prometric center locations in India or Sun office in India and confirm this.

Slot booking is usually 2-3 days in advance, but it also depends on the availability of the slot. So, if you really want to take test on a particulr date, its a good idea to call and book the slot atleast 2 weeks in advance.

Thanks for your mail and suggestions. I have sent a mail to Prometric center who asked to get in touch with the Vendor who sold the voucher. But the vendor informed me that he was not aware of it. I'm really disappointed. Let me try to get info from SFO center.

I'm not actually surprised this is the case. I would guess that you get the voucher at a different rate to that in anywhere else in the world? For example, in the US the vouchers are (or used to be, this might have changed) $100 but in the UK they're 100 - the US value is a far better price. But I'm sure Sun have good reasons to make the difference, and in order to offer the most appropriate prices to everyone, they have to restrict by country. Otherwise everyone in the UK could buy the US (or Indian) voucher and sit the exam in the UK - which would be much cheaper for candidates but consequently lose Sun revenue!

Finally, I've got a mail from Monica.Green@Sun.COM says that I may take the exam in US.

Thanks for your support.
