In the book it says that HttpSessionBindingListener is usually implement by an attribute class. I am not exactly sure what that means? What is an attribute class?

Thanks

It is just a class which implements HttpSessionBindingListener.
Then, once an object of this class is instantiated, it is used as an attribute to some scoped object.
Meaning set in scope using the setAttribute(String, Object) method
