Hi,

The only listener that is not to be registered in deployment descriptor is HttpSessionBindingListener.

The Page 261 of HFS says that HttpSessionActivationListner is also not required to be registered. That whole bang box is wrong. This correction has been specified in Errata.

Oh !! :-O. Why did they make such mistakes. During Oracle Interview that question was asked , and I answered as only HttpSessionBindingListener because of that freaking bang box. Damn !! Can't get into Oracle for another six months. :-(.

Oops, I made a typing mistake, the bang box says that the HttpSessionActivationListner is required to be registered in DD. This statemetn is bangbox is wrong. This listener is also not required to be registered in DD. All other Listners, except HttpSessionBindingListner is required to be registerd in DD... so you still have a chance in ORACLE sorry for the mistake

In HFSJ Errata it says both HttpSessionBindingListener and HttpSessionActivationListener are "NOT" required to be registered in DD

Both HttpSessionBindingListener and HttpSessionActivationListener need not defined in the DD.
