On page 414 4th Bullet poitns says:

The class attribute is optional, and it decalres the class tyoe that will be used if a new bean is created. The type must be public, non-abstarct, and have a public no-arg constructor

Here type should be class. is it correct?

type must be same as bean class or super class of bean class or an interface implemented by bean class.

I know what "type" is. But in this bullet point there is a typo. Instead of word "type" it should be "class". As "type" can be abstract...

Yes, type can be abstract but class cannot. So the above looks to be a typo.
