I cleared the exam today with 91%..It was a long day for me ..I woke up at 5:30am..
revised the stuff from Fredrick's notes and some of my notes..
Special thanks to him & HFSJ authors. Both did good job ..Exam was scheduled at 10.00 AM.
I left from home at 8:00Am (it was 30 miles from my home..Anaheim,CA to Los Angeles,CA..2 miles from my job)
i was stuck in the traffic and managed to rich there around 9:40AM(Los angeles traffic is really bad)
Ok now comes the real story ..
I had experience on developing jsp & servlets..(little bit).. I prepared for it in 25 days..
I read the book before that days just for fun .. then i started to be serious about the exam ..
read the book second time with my notes..
did the mock exams..almost everything that i came across..whizlabs was also good.i was waking up
in the morning and was studing 2-3 hours in the morning before i go to job(around 9:30)
i utilized almost 15-16 hours in the week ends.. so no sat,sun.. i did the HFSJ mock test
on sunday (25th)..i scored 68% in that.. i used the next 2 days to find out my weak points and
work on that..
You have plenty of time for the exam.. i was out 30 mins before.. was there at 9:45AM and punched in at
job at 12:00..
Ok now the exam stuff..

I made 6 mistakes out of 69 .. i will say 2 questions were wrong for sure..as it one of them was
returning EVAL_BODY_AGAIN from doStartTag() that i never heard or came across(in all options) .. which seems
to wrong ..other was typo by them..

i will list the topics that's not in HFSJ that i know..

dynamic attributes for custom tags(make sure you go to the Brayan's tutorial for dynamic attributes)
variable directive in tag files
jsp:invoke

some tips for fellow ranchers..

know the life cycle of both simple & custom tags clearly.
i mean how to get parents from each other ..when ,why, which handlers will be called..
know the request & response api's methods clearly

Drag & Drop questions ..spend extra time in exam on that & revise it 2 time before going furhter
because during review You won't be able to see your answer ..you have to answer it again..
so make sure you spend couple more minutes while answering interactive & drag& drop questions..

always try to see the false options also along with the true
that way you can eliminate the false.

finally .. i will look forward to business component or web services certification.

Thanks to all..

I also got 2 wrong questions. One of them was "returning EVAL_BODY_AGAIN from doStartTag() that i never heard or came across(in all options)"...

I also got 1 extra question (total 70).

Could you give some details about the question "returning EVAL_BODY_AGAIN from doStartTag()" ?

I am afraid of meeting with this question in my coming test.
