Hi Ranchers,

I might happen to one in ten thousand people but I guess I am the one. I got my SCWCD Certificate today. The packet was sent from US Portal Services but was delivered by one Techrome Corporation, Chennai (no telephone or email ID mentioned) and despite a cardboard piece kept inside and the blister packing they managed to put a hole that pierced right through the congratulating letter as well my Certificate. In addition, the clip of the SCWCD badge is broken and there are stapler marks across the Plastic Visiting card.

Needless to say, I am hurt to see this. It's really sad that SUN sends the certificate through ordinary post (people in India know that India Post sucks) and not courier. A bewildering thing is that the protective "cardboard piece" is kept only on one side of the packet with the papers exposed on the other (I would expect the documents sandwiched between two such pieces).

Can I request SUN to issue me a duplicate, atleast of the Certificate? If yes how? If no, whom should I sue?

Thanks,

Hi Debashish,
You should be able to get duplicate certificate with valid reason. Not sure, whom to contact. Try sending mail to who2contact@sun.com
and suncert@Thomson.com
Usually I use these two addresses when I get into troubles.
HTH.

... and be sure to be pleasant to Sun in your request. It's likely not their fault and they tend to be very understanding people.

Hope it works out for you.
