Thank you Priya!
As I have already mentioned in this discussion
thread, my preparation was limited to reading the HFJS book.I read the book twice, practiced all the mock questions at the end of the chapters and made notes on each chapter(I like to write things in my own
word, it works for me
).I didn't go for practice question hunting on the internet, not beacuse I didn't have time, but I wanted to
test my concepts (without any help from my short term memory) and I am lazyyyyyy
. I once thought to go through the complete
Servlet and
JSP specs and I printed them out (as I am not good in reading on the computer) but those 800 or something pages of text scared me and I dropped the idea. I used it only to refer to the dynamic-attributes. Bert have mentioned there is a tutorial on dynamic-attributes and I found it now :
https://coderanch.com/t/170429/java-Web-Component-SCWCD/certification/Tutorial-Dynamic-Attributes I wish I knew it earlier! The only other thing which I think you need to study from somewhere else is the J2EE design patterns. I don't think you need to dig deep into the patterns but
you should know atleast the bare minumum about all the J2EE design patterns and just not only the ones discussed in the book. I might be wrong but thats what I felt.
Thank you Bert! You made my day. I never thought I would be congratulated by the author of the book I was reading for last three months. Do you already have or coming up any book on Web Services? That will be my next certification (if I do any). Keep up the good work Bert!
