Hi Charles,

First of all, congratulations on getting your book published. I was going through the purchase options of your book and it seems that your book is available for purchase only online. Also, on the Garner Press website, it says that you have to ask your local bookshop in the UK to order a copy for you. Does any of the shops in the UK has your book on the shelves so that a person interested in buying the book can glance through the book before making a purchase? Thank you.

Many of the computer 'bookshops' I know are all online, although many have a postal/telephone mail order facility as well. I would dearly like to get the book on shop shelves, and it is something we've been investigating for a few weeks now, the problem is that shelf space is limited and retail outlets have to be seriously convinced to stock a title on-shelf before making a purchase - often this involves serious negotiation. I have the same problem when I want to examine a book - I can't find it stocked anywhere locally! Otherwise, I know some places (I think Amazon.co.uk for one) offer a "try before you buy" scheme, and most (if not all) offer a refund if you don't want it and can send it back. I'll certainly look into it this week; in the meantime, if you haven't already seen them, you can of course dig through the TOC and a sample chapter which should demonstrate the style the book is written in:
