Hi

I need to appear for SCWCD by 31 August 2006, as i took the voucher last year and if i dont take this exam now, it will get expired.

Right now i am referring

1. HF Servlet and JSP(kathy-bates).
2. JavaRanch
3. Mock exams on jdiscuss

While going thru HFSJ i am finding the scriptless JSP and JSTL chapter quite tough.

Hence i decided that i should do some practical stuff, i mean i should create webapp from the scratch. I have experience and servlet and JSP.

Now what i wanted to know is 3 things.

1. Do i need to refer anything else then those mentioned above?
2. Is JSTL and Scriptless JSP imp for certification?
3. When i create a test webapp do i need to create the base classes, and
follow the proper design patterns? or i can directly go with it.

Waiting for your valuable response.

With Thanks
Manish.

I don't know what "imp" means. Is that supposed to be short for important?

You probably don't have time to write an entire application. To learn JSTL, all you need is a JSP and maybe a single JavaBean class to fool around with. It's actually the easiest topic once you get the hang of it.
