Exam questions on EL and web app deployment (especially jars inside wars) were the toughest ones for me. JSTL, EL Functions, custom tags and tag files were also there but nothing hard. There were a few design patterns related questions that are not explicitly mentioned in the exam objectives and not dealt with in HSFJ too (like Chain of Responsibility, View Helper, etc).
Here is how i prepepared -
1. Went through HSFJ thoroughly for the first time and prepared my own notes 2. Started with Hanumant Deshmukh's book but found most of the stuff redundant 3. Did a second pass on HSFJ and took the mock exam (scored, a whimpy 48/69 ) 4. Did chapter wise mock tests from j2eecertificate.com (quite tough and thier english was confusing) 5. Went over my notes at the last minute
As with the others, I would like to thank and headfirst authors for thier revolutionizing approach and the wonderful book.
