Session preserved across Tomcat restarts ?

+Pie Number of slices to send: Send
Hi Ranchers,

I am accessing my web application . Then I restarted tomcat . Then I again hit my web app from same web app.

And I am getting the same session with all attributes intact .

Does the Servlet Spec. talk about it ?

Thanks

Tomcat using Session Persistence to help retreive a session after it shutdowns or crashes. It's also used within clustered environments. I think that it's enabled by default, but uou can disable it.
I don't think that it's part of the specification (except the part on distributed environments).
