Hi,

I have just started preparing for SCWCD using the "JSP 2.0 - The Complete Reference". I am planning to get Head First too, but this is a book I find quite good too, though it looks a bit bulky. I am new to J2EE altogether.

Can someone please let me know if this is right book to follow for this certification and if it will help in the process of certification ?

Regards,
Sanjeev

JSP Complete Reference only for JSP and you have to face my Question out of JSP also i think it is not good for beginer because it is not given description on servlet and jsp life cycle.

It is good if you dont have HFSJ but if you have HFJS then yo have to go first on HFJS and after it refer Completele Reference for JSP...

hi

if you are trying to read a begineer's book you have two options -

1) Murach's Servlet / JSP book ( covers all topics )
2) Core Servlet & JSP by Marty Hall & Larry Brown. ( volume 2 isnt out yet - it covers topics like security , EL, custom tags)

whatever book yu read, you will finally MUST read the hfsj.
the above two begineer's book will make you feel comfortable while reading head first.

Hope that helps
