doubt in jsp:getProperty

what will happen if propertyName property is not present in the object refered by name.

I think that you'll get a "property not found" kind of error.

It also thing like that...
There should be a translation error, because validation of bean property is done at the time of translation.

It think it wouldnt return any thing, which means there was a no property set.

yes it will give error, may be at the compilation time
the error would be like - no getter / setter method in bean ( at lease we get this in WSAD )
