Hi guys,

Could you please confirm what are the default values of the <body-content> element for Tag files, Simple Tags and Classic Tags ?

As far as I know (Maybe I'm wrong) the default values are :

Tag Files :
Default : SCRIPTLESS
Possible Values : SCRIPTLESS, TAGDEPENDENT & EMPTY

Simple Tags :
Default : Vendor Specific. A resonable value would be SCRIPTLESS but it depends on vendor.

Possible Values : SCRIPTLESS, TAGDEPENDENT & EMPTY

Classic Tags :

Default : JSP. I'm not sure because it was the default value in previous version of the spec. But what about the default value considered in the latest SPEC version ? Could you please clarify ?

Possible Values : SCRIPTLESS, TAGDEPENDENT, EMPTY & JSP. I'm really in doubt whether SCRIPTLESS is allowed for classic tags once it has been created as of JSP 2.0 SPEC. Could you please clarify ?

TIA,
Edisandro Bessa.

I agree about Tag Files.

However, I think that the definition for Simple Tags and Classic Tags is the same, except that Simple Tags do not accept JSP

Possible Value: tagdependent, empty, scriptless, JSP (Classic Tags only)

Default Value: Because "JSP" is invalid for Simple Tag handlers, there is no default value. You should put one explicitly, like "scriptless", if needed. I don't think it's even vendor specific.
