the jsp spec says -

"One of the goals of tag files as a technology is to make it as easy to write a tag handler as it is to write a JSP."

say for example i have a custom tg <my:textArea>, so instead of writing a MyTextHandler.java ( that run when you use this tag in your JSP ), your write a file called, say, myTextArea.tagx. Correct ?

for the exam we need to prepare jsp:invoke and 'variable' directive of tag files and 'dynamic attributes' also ( 1 question will be there in the exam dependin on your luck ) - as the book says.

Hi Niranjan,
name of the tag file should match the tag. for tag <my:AreaText> AreaText.tag should be present in the WEB-INF/tags folder.
