yes there is a equivalent book for it.
Its called 'Head First Servlet & JSP' by K&B ( and one more new author who has written the struts thing in the book - Bryan Basham )

These three have done wonderful job.
You feel as if you are talking with the book.

If you liked the style of the SCJP book, you might also like to take a look at my book which covers all the objectives (and more) for SCWCD in the same style:

There's a review in the JavaRanch bunkhouse (http://www.javaranch.com/bunkhouse/Certification.jsp#0955160316) and also here:

Hi Yy,

I first bought Mannings SCWCD Exam Study Kit Second Edition. That's complete if you like a front-to-back approach, but there's a lot of typos and inconsitencies which make you wonder if all that you're learning is correct.

I recently bought Head First Servlets and JSP because I heard a lot of good feedback. I must admit, it's a very very very good read, and very much worth your $$$. It is very well written, complete and often very funny! Further more it focusses on the nuts 'n bolts for the exam. If I should recommend somebody a book for studying the SCWCD this would be it!

[I don't know your book Charles, sorry...]

I think that you should avoid Manning's SCWCD Exam Study Kit Second Edition. I've used it too, and it's a pain to check for what is right and what is wrong. You'd better use Charles Lyons' book, or HFSJ.

Please also read the Naming Policy

Satou is correct, 'Yy Fr', including the bit about the naming policy. We don't have many rules around here but our naming policy is one of them. Not complying with the policy will lead to your account becoming locked. This warning hopefully will prevent that from happening, but some action is required on your part.

Please review the policy here and you can change your Publicly Displayed Name here.
