hi fellow ranchers,
i passed th scwcd 1.4 today scoring 79%. i know my score is not that good compared to most of the people here but im proud of it . i was actuall expecting more than that because i scored 56/69 in the final mock exam. the +10 didnt work for me. actually it was -3 for me . but all in all im really happy.

as for my preparation. i prepared for the exam for exactly two months. my main source of studying is of course hfsj. thank you kathy,bert and brian for such a wonderful book. i had no prior experience in servlets & jsp's and this book guided me through out and was absoulutely fun to read. i read it four times before taking the exam.

also i must thank Mikalai Zaikin for his great notes. i was able to clear around 5-6 questions because i read his notes.it covers some points that the hfsj misses. it is a must read for everyone and i highly recommend it. thank you again man. your notes rock.

i was really happy that i scored 100% on design patterns and EL's. i saw in some threads people saying that the hfsj is not good in these areas. well, i guess i proved them wrong.

and lastly i would like to thank all my fellow ranchers for answering my questions and helping me to achieve this.

The SCWCD is a REALLY hard exam, and 79% is a really fine score.

Hmm...
As said by Bert, WCD is REALLY hard exam. I too believe 79% is a very nice score. WCD is very much technical in nature. After all its a 'developer's' exam and not a 'programmer' exam

Anu score betwen 70-80 is decent score ! and as they say in the SCJP forum

" A PASS IS A PASS "
