Filters support an initialization mechanism which includes init method
which includes an init method which is guaranteed to be called before the filter is used to andle requests.Isn't this correct about filters?HFSJ doesnt select this in a question which asks which is true about filters?

Yes, you are correct. filter's init() method will be called before it goes into service.

Try seeing this in errata for HFJS

But if you see questions in the end of filters chapter you can see this is not selected.
