Which of the following actions are useful for your web site to prevent from being attacked.

A. Use SSL of HTTPS.

B. Use Firewalls to block all the ports except HTTP port.

C. Use Authentication to login the site.

D. Record the events in a log file to audit.

Answer Given: A B

===
Question was asked about attacks to web sites and "not" web server.

Blocking firewall is a valid answer? That too, when HTTP port is open, again the site is prone to attack. Am I right?

OMG...would these type of questions be there on the real exam? We're not dealing with network security....are we? I guess it's only the respective web-application security which is there in the official Sun exam objective...isn't it? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi,

If someone says that this is not in the exam objective, I would be happy either

I think it was from SM Rahman's test, though not sure. There was a bundle of SCWCD exams posted in this forum. It could be one from that bunch too.

Sorry All ... From next time I will also post where did I get the question from!
