Order of xml elements in the DD

Please let me know if the order of xml elements is fixed in the deployment descriptor.

That's history my friend...wake up....things have changed with Servlet Specification 2.4 ....here's somethin' from the spec. (page 106)


The sub elements under web-app can be in an arbitrary order in this version of the specification.

The <listener> elements should always appear before the <servlet> elements in the web.xml file. So in a way there's some restriction regarding the order of DD elements.
