hello friends,
i saw this line in enthuware:
Even if a session is invalidated (say it times out), the page can still access the session variable.

How is it true??
Is session variable still accessible after its invalidation??

thanks,
mallika

What exactly would you mean by session variable? Are you talking about session attributes?

Servlet spec SRV.7.5

The session invalidation will not take effect until all servlets using that session have exited the service method.

But shouldn't a session end as soon invalidate is called on it in a servlet? Does not matter if other servlets are using it or not.

You can call methods like getServletContext() in the session variable! I think you could use it to call the methods that don't throw IllegalStateException! I don't know if it is useful but...
