Hi,

I sit the SCJP exam tomorrow and I'm keen to get started on my SCWCD studies.

I'm a complete beginner with servlets/JSPs, and I'd be grateful if you could recommend some textbooks. I have the Sierra/Bates book, but I could do with something that starts at a lower level: i.e. where to find jsp/servlet hosting (or whether to install apache etc. on your own machine- I don't know, what do most developers do?). I'm starting from scratch, really (I guess that's pretty evident )

Thanks,

Gordy

I think the pdf for core servlets is outdated. The pdf is available only for previous spcecs...and not for 2.4 and 2.0 specs

If you want to pass SCWCD. HFSJ should be the one you should go for.

Many thanks for all the responses. I'm now an SCJP, so bring on the SCWCD!

I already have HFSJ, and I've ordered the newer edition of the Core book.

Cheers!
