Hi Guys,

Would you please clarify the difference between the following two versions of SCWCD.

1. Sun Certified Web Component Developer for the Java 2EE Platform
2. Sun Certified Web Component Developer for J2EE 1.4

Please also suggest which one is better to take.

Thanks & Regards,

Amit Goyal

I don't know where you've seen those. The latest is :
- Sun Certified Web Component Developer for the Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition 1.4 (CX-310-081)
http://www.sun.com/training/certification/java/scwcd.xml

You may not know it, but there is also a forum at the ranch dedicated to SCWCD

I do not think its the right forum to ask this question.
SCWCD covers servlet and jsp.So SCWCD for J2EE 1.4 means that SCWCD would cover the servlet and jsp versions mentioned in J2EE specification for 1.4.

I have seen the mentioned two versions in the Sun's Certification Database.

I really apologize to post it here. Do here any way to transfer this post to the SCWCD forum?

There is only one SCWCD exam available right now. Either of those two names are valid names for this exam. The exam code is 310-081.
