Expression in ---c:remove--- var attribute

i noticed that in page 448 stated the var attribute in <c:remove> MUST be a String literal and it CAN"T be an expression!!

so the following code is wrong and throw exception?
or something else?


anyone knows?

The JSTL spec says that attributes of the remove tag are not dynamic, so your container is supposed to show an error.

so it throws an exception?

oh yeah, how about the body-content for <c:remove> ?
like, <c:remove scope="session">cat</c:remove>

The var attribute is mandatory.
