About the Reflection API :
http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/reflect/index.html

A simple example for java beans is when you use a property name to set its value. <c:set id="mybean" property="name" value="Jothi" />
With reflection, you can set the "name" property of "mybean". There are methods to find out the name of getters/setters, and to call them on a particular instance. Look into the following API classes: Class, Method, Field
