Guys,

I have a servlet say LoginServlet and when I try to access it, I get a message that says,
you have chosen to open
LoginServlet
which is a:application/octet-stream...

I checked my response content type and it is just text/html even after this I'm getting such a message???

Could there anything related to Tomcat as far as this issue is concerned??

i think something is changing your response header "CONTENT-TYPE" . you should try to comment complete code in your doGet or doPost which ever you are using, save changes, compile servlet, restart tomcat and try to access it again.

if it goes safe then uncomment code blocks or lines step by step to check the bug line

Can you paste your code and web.xml file so that we can have a look and figure the problem out ?
