Hi,
It took me 2-3 months to prepare for the test.I am a fresher.
I don't have any idea wheather you are a fresher or a professional.
BUT,I feel 2-3 months are enough for the preparation.I suggest you to solve ample mock exams & check where you made mistakes.Learn from the mistakes.
When you feel that you are comfortable with the subject, solve HFSJ mock exam as your true test of fundamentals. If you score well in that exam,
then you are definitely ready for the exam.
If you are a fresher, then the certification will give you stong base
for web component developing & an edge over others. If you are a professional, then having SCWCD certification will look great on your
resume & also will impress your employers.
This is my frank opinion.Ultimately the decision is yours.

Regards,
Vipul

JAVA/J2EE is hot in India now.

burn this in.

The knowledge you will gain will be really something the IT companies are looking for now. I would also suggest you to learn Frameworks especially Struts. They are really hot.

Certification definitely gives you an edge.
