Obtaining session object from context

+Pie Number of slices to send: Send
HttpSession objects must be scoped at the application (or servlet context) level.
Above is from the servlet spec. Does this indicated that HttpSession object can also be obtained from ServletContext ?

I think that is referring to objects (attributes) within a session, not a way of obtaining a session.

Where exactly in the spec does it say that?
