Hi friends,
I cleared SCWCD (Sun Certified Web Component Developer) exam yesterday with a 91% score.
This completes a trilogy - SCJP, SCWCD and SCDJWS
Talking about my preparation I used 3 books:
1. Head First JSP and Servlets
2. SCWCD Exam Study Kit - Hanumant Deshmukh
3. SCWCD Study Companion - Charles Lyons
I took a duration of 4 months to get prepared. Sincerely you can get prepared within 2 months but I had the intention of going to the depth of each topic. I know that once the certification is over I would be doing a complete different thing altogether
I did not read any specifications! That proves that these 3 books alone can take you above 90%. But I was confident to get a 100%.
The strage part of the exam was it had 70 questions!!
And the result was declared from 69 questions. I got 63 right although I did not feel I was wrong in any of them!
I think due to the error in providing 70 questions one question was discarded which may have been the right one! I was quiet a bit disappointed to see 91% instead of 100% but now I cant do anything but rejoice about being certified!
