i have passed my SCJP5 paper today now i want to go for SCWCD.
can any one tell me how good the book on SCWCD by Hanumant Deshmukh is??Is anyone using it??
or should i go for Head First?

I don't personally recommend this book, though the part on design patterns is worth reading. Try other books like those listed here :

I just passed the exam last week. I used 'Head First Servlets and JSP' to prepare.

I do recommend trying to write code that applies each topic that you study (except for the Design Patterns). It will help to solidify the points that the book makes.

Between my work and other studies I use "Head First Servlets and JSP" for preparing for SCWCD.

It's a good book to start with and I also read that some folks have made a great score by using only this book.

There is no substitute for actually either doing it on your own or working with Servlets and JSP on a web app.
