SCWCD exam: which methods should be known?

Hi everyone,

Sorry for asking this question again, but I thought it would be better to start a new topic to ask my question instead of asking it within a reply. I would like to know whether I should memorize all the methods of the most important interfaces or classes. (like ServletRequest, httpServletRequest, HttpServletResponse, ServletResponse and so on) I'm studying HFSJ and the authors just talk about the most used methods, so I wondered if the other methods are also important to memorize in order to pass the SCWCD exam.

Thank you very much in advance for your replies!

regards,

Carl

Hi, for these interfaces that you have talked, you need to memorize the methods in this link

Thanks a lot for your reply, Cristiano. Anyhow, I'd still like to know the methods I have to learn and memorize from the interfaces I mentioned above.

regards,

Carl

Hi,

You don't need to know the entire API. However, as far as I can tell the most important methods are in HFSJ. If you only study those you should be fine,

Phillip is correct. I just took the exam and the methods mentioned in HFSJ were enough to know

Cristiano, nice diagrams.
Could you correct the following ?

Servlet:
+ getServletConfig() : ServletConfig

RequestDispatcher : (missing)
+ include(request:ServletRequest, response:ServletResponse) : void

HttpServletResponse :
+ setDateHeader(name:String, date:long) : void

HttpServletRequest :
+ getDateHeader(name:String) : long

ServletOutputStream :
+ write : there's no write method having String as a parameter. Which one did you want to write ?

Hi, Christophe Verre, thanks very much for the corrections.

Here its the jude installation with the 2 files.
http://files-upload.com/files/447598/jude and diagrams .rar

I dont put the 'include' method in the requestDispatcher since it wont be on the exam, at least its what hfsj said. What do you think ?

I think that if you know forward, then include is easy to remember. I felt strange seeing a RequestDispatcher without an include method

Christophe Verre the book is ambiguous, we really need to know the include
method for the exam !!

I have already add the corrections in the uploaded file, but didnt add the 'include' method yet.

I will do the same with other classes and interfaces, this will be a very useful topic.
