I think SCWCD is the most essential. It wil be base for other certificates.

If you are looking forward towards web development , then go for SCWCD certification.

Nope...I don't think so. The current version of SCWCD will be there for a minimum of at least 1 year from now even after which your hard earned SCWCD will be valid.

So if you are really interested to becoming a web developer, then SCWCD will be the best option.

If you are doing server side development you will almost certainly need to know about Servlets and JSP. That is true if you are involved in struts, spring, hibernate, or just about any involvement with Java on the Server. By contrast there are many Java server side developments that do not involve EJB (the core of the SCBCD exam). A further issue with the Business Component developer exam is that the 2.1 version of the exam covers a technology that is somewhat controversial.

The EJB3 version covers material that is significantly different and will probably be better received but it is early days and there is little material available at the moment that covers the exam (e.g. no Head First book). So on balance I recommend the SCWCD exam. Ahh yes and my site offers the biggest (currently) freely available source of material on that exam right here right now see
