This is an explanation for one of the worng answers in hfjs pg 485

Option d : TLD files can declare both Simple and Classis tags , but TLD files are NOT used to declare Tag files

Explanation : Option D is invalid because Tag files may be declared in a tld (but it is rare)

Can someone throw some light on the explanation.Give a situation where we would declare a tag file in the tld and code sniplet about how to do it

Thanks

Hi Sid,

Tag files placed under /WEB-INF/Tags or any sub directory under it then no need to have a tld for it.

Tags files placed under jar file's /META-INF/tags or any sub-directory under it then we should have tld declaration for tag file.

tld entry should be like this:
<tag-file>
<name>Header</name>
<path>/META-INF/tags/Header.tag</path>
</tag-file>

Hope the light reaches you.
