scwcd and oca

Hi,
i am planning for scwcd exam.so far i have worked on core for 1.5 years now just moved to webcomponent development.
and my doubt is i am planning for OCA.
i want sugestions on this regards.....
will it be helpful in my carier...

Not quite sure what you are looking for here. Are you referring to one of the Oracle exams when you say OCA?.

Oracle and Java go together very well, but you are probably best to concentrate on one exam at a time. If you are working mainly with web component development you are probably best to go for the SCWCD exam first.

Better give your SCWCD and I'm sure that you will begin using ORM solutions for all your database needs wherein your OCP knowledge becomes minimal.

This is my perspective. It is always to give as many certifications as possible. So why not try on both?

first i will take scwcd exam.
then i look for oca.
my doubt is taking oca exam is it going to be helpful for my future carier opp?
