Hi all,

I just wanted to register for SCWCD at prometric.com. I already got an user id and I also registered for SCJP at prometric.

I took SCJP last year and I chose at prometric web site for

Client: Sun Microsystems
Program: SUN Academic Initiative (212)

I passed SCJP (SAI) (number 212-055).

For SCWCD, I have to choose

Program: Sun Microsystems (310, 311)

There is also a SCJP certification in 310 (310-055). I didn't know that while registering for SCJP last year, therefore I took 212-055. Can anybody tell me the differences between 310-055 and 212-055?

I hope that I am also authorized to take SCWCD with SCJP (212-055).

Now I have to choose the 310 course (SCWCD is 310-081) for 210 EUR.

Later on the registration, a "promotion code" or "voucher number" is required. Does that mean I have to buy a SCWCD voucher at the Sun page (or equivalent if you are outside the US) at

http://www.sun.com/training/catalog/courses/CX-310-081.xml

which is an additional 250 EUR.

Does that mean I have to pay 210 EUR (Prometric) and 250 EUR (Sun voucher) which is 460 EUR in complete to register and take SCWCD? And what does "promotion code" mean?

Thanks for some information.

You buy the voucher from the Sun page. Though the Prometric site lists a price, you use your voucher number for payment. You only pay once.

I bought SCWCD voucher couple of days ago. Can anybody tell me what are the next steps? I didn't receive a SCWCD voucher number yet to register at Prometric.

I got a confirmation email from Sun but it didn't say anything about whats next and when I get the voucher number.

Can anybody tell me about this?
thanks!

You'll get the voucher by mail. The number is printed on it.

Huh???

In the US, the voucher number will be included in an email. The email typically comes within 24 hours.

Oh, I didn't know that. I've always received a paper voucher (not US). Maybe because I've always sent my registration by FAX.
