Hi All,
I read the following statement in a book:


I believe this is not true, tag order in the DD is immaterial in Servlets 2.4.
Pls. correct me if I'm wrong.

Your right. The order of elements in the web.xml does not matter according to Servlets specification 2.4. But it's import to know that the order of subelements elements still important.

Also the ordering of the elements could have an influence on the behavior. As an example the order in which filers are declared will influence to order in which they are invoked.
