From the book HFSJ, chapter:, page:415
"if the param name used in <jsp aram> already has a value as a request parameter, the new value will overwrite the previous one. Otherwise, a new request parameter is added to the request."

Isn't the <jsp aram> is for customize the page? Then why in above text they have mentioned about request parameter. I am not getting what they want to say from above paragraph. Can anyone please explain?.

With the jsp:include you can use the jsp aram for customizing the included page. But the params will be added as a request-scoped attribute . So this param will be visble to all components which are part of the request. If already a attribute of the same name within the request exists. This one will be replaced.

The including file use <jsp:include> to include another file,we can use <jsp.param> in the bady of <jsp:include> to attach a parameter to request, then forward this request to that included file, included file use this parameter to customize itself.
hope my explaination is help.

I think the parameters in request is a better way for including jsp file communicates with included file, only from this included file can customiz itself by parameters comes from including file

Please do not duplicate threads. You are wasting people's time by doing this. I'm closing the other one.
