Hi,
I am writing SCWCD J2EE 1.4 exam in few days. I registered at a Prometric center and they gave me a confirmation sheet that displays the Exam code:
and exam name which is all correct. But it shows exam duration as 3hrs 15 mins ?? On the sun website it says 2hrs and 15 mins but then it also says at the website that 40 mins will be given for some unscored qustions...
But this still does not add up to 3hrs 15 mins?
Could any one please tell me whats the go with the exam duration?
And the 10 unscored questions in the exam, would they be shown in a different category or mixed with the rest of the paper so that we are kept guessing?
Please help in clearing these doubts. - Danveer

Hi Dushyant !!!

Even if the exam duration indicated by Prometric is 3h15min,
the effective duration of the exam is what you read on Sun's website:
2h15min + 40min (for the unscored questions).

For the unscored questions you cannot recognize them. The exam will have 80 questions.
But your score will be calculate on the base of 69 questions.

Hope it help. Good luck !!!

Thanks for the reply, clouds are clearing now...
Regarding the unscored questions are they in the same format and same level of difficulty? I just don't want to end up spending a lot of time on unscored questions. Is there a way we can get a hint that the questions are unscored?
Thanks,
Dushyant

As i told you before, you cannot recognize an unscored question.

They are not in a particular format. When you answer a question you
don't know if it a scored or an unscored question.

I passed the exam recently. I have 80 questions.
There is no information about the unscored questions.
You have to answer to all of them. Don't worry about the time
The time they will give will be more than sufficient to answer to the questions. For my experience, i finished 40 min before the total time that was given to me at the begining of the exam.

Hope it help. Good luck !!!
