Which of the following sets of tags in a deployment descriptor will setup initialization parameters for a web application?
a)
<param>
<name>databasetype</name>
<value>mysql</value>
</param>
b)
<application-param>
<param-name>databasetype</param-name>
<param-value>mysql</param-value>
</application-param>
c)
<context-param>
<param-name>databasetype</param-name>
<param-value>mysql</param-value>
</context-param>
d)
<init-param>
<param-name>databasetype</param-name>
<param-value>mysql</param-value>
</init-param>

The above question i got from mocck exam in which they have specified the correct answer is C but as in question they mention about initalization parameter so think correct answer should be D...Correct me if i'm wrong.

One more doubt regarding error-page is

>>The error-page tag must point to an html or JSP page, not a servlet
and is error-page tag can point to servlet ??

Thanks;

Hi,

initialization parameters for a web application : <context-param>
&initialization parameters for a Servlet : <init-param>

For reference:http://wiki.metawerx.net/wiki/Web.xml

hope this helps.

Swathi.
