Hi all ,

${pageContext.request.method} is printing POST .

pageContext is a reference to EL implicit object and its type is PageContext. But if you look at the API for PageContext , you can not find the property request.

Similarly if you look at the API for HttpServletRequest or ServletRequest you don't find property method .

THen how it is working ?

Thanks
Akhil

You will not neccessary have request and method as class properties.

See as

If you look at the API, you wil have the method getRequest() for the class PageContext
and getMethod() for HttpServletRequest.

Hope it help.
