<%@page isELIgnored="true"%>
what is the effect?
A:Nothing
B:The directive turns off evaluation of EL code by container in all of eb appln's jsps
C:Jsp containing this directive shud be treated as well formed XML
D:The jsp containing this directive shud not have any EL code evaluated by the container
E:This page will turn off directive only if <el-ignored>true</el-ignored> in DD

The answer is E. But I think it shud be D , cos DD has least priority. If the directive says ignore, it is ignored in jsp, am I right? Please reply

Hi,

As per as my understanding,if <el-ignored> is not all specified in DD(default is true) then jsp engine does not care for the directive value "isELEnabled" in any JSP page.
But if DD has someting for <el-ignored> then the value will be overiden by the directive value.

Thanks,
Sujata.
