My Configuration,

JSP 2.0
Servlet 2.4

My Jsp Is like This. (JSP Name : ActionPage.jsp)

<html>
<body>
<c ut value="Welcome to JSTL & EL"/>
Action Value : ${param.action}
</body>
</html>

Invoking JSP as
ActionPage.jsp?action=GOOD

But is not displaying those message.

What could be the problem?

Thanks

But is not displaying those message.

What is being displayed instead then ?

You may have forgotten to configure something. Maybe your web.xml version is not correct. Please check the following FAQ: EL Or JSTL not working as expected.

I understand that the cut tag does not print anything, because you are not declaring the tag in your page.
<%@ taglib prefix="c" uri="http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/core" %>

But I can't understand why EL is not working. Are you accessing the page via the browser's address bar ?
Like http://localhost:8080/myapp/ActionPage.jsp?action=GOOD

Christophe Verre Thanks.

EL working because of entry in web.xml JSP spec.
JSTL not working because of tld not registered in web.xml

Thanks

Maybe you didn't read carefully the link I've posted above. To use JSTL, you don't need to configure anything in web.xml. Please read this part again.

Venkat,

Do you have jstl.jar in web-inf/lib directory of your web app?
